These knives are produced in Seki City in Japan and feature a newly developed, extremely durable, high carbon stainless steel ZA18 core. Combined with 69 layer clad Damascus construction, it gives exceptional sharpness, edge retention, durability, and ease of sharpening.  The blades are polished damascus clad ZA18 Japanese steel. ZA18 was designed to outperform VG10, and has similar characteristics to N690 steel.

**Metal core**
Brass and Purple resin.  The metal is manipulated and infused with resin to form a unique pattern on every handle.
